  The Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) manages the National Housing Fund (NHF), a government-backed program that assists Nigerians obtain affordable loans for their homes. To facilitate registration and management of accounts easy, FMBN operates a secure online NHF application portal which allows contributors to register, update their records and verify their contributions to the housing fund.  

The digital platform removes the need for physical  documents and makes it easier for people, employers and mortgage lenders to connect through FMBN’s FMBN housing program. Here’s a complete overview of how to use the FMBN NHF online application portal and how to register and what benefits are offered.

    • First-time users are required to sign up to become NHF contributors.

    • Provides quick registration for registration and NHF Number retrieval.
    • Users are able to sign up or get their NHF number by phone or email verification.

The portals are run in direct control by FMBN. Make sure that the web address begins in .fmbn.gov.ng or nhf.netapps.com.ng before entering personal information.

What You Can Do on the Portal

By using the FMBN NHF portal, contributors and employers are able to:

  • Sign up for an NHF Contributor: Create an individual or employer account, and you will receive an individual NHF number.
  • Check Contribution Record: View your monthly payments and balances.
  • Update Personal Information: Edit contact information like phone number and email.
  • Retrieve NHF Number: Recover lost NHF numbers by using a registered mobile phone or email.
  • Corporate registration: Employers are able to register their company and monitor the remittances of employees.

How to Check NHF Contributions Online

Once you’ve logged in, can review your NHF contributions using the following format:

  • Log into your dashboard and select “Contribution History.”
  • Input your NHF number as well as the dates you would like to see.
  • Print or download your contribution report for use in the official system.

You can also verify via the USSD through entering * 219# on your mobile and then following the instructions.
